In the recent period we have started writing these little guides for newbies who just started playing Heroes of Order & Chaos to help them understand the game a bit more. We talked about roles, about farming and such things, and today we are going to deal in something a little more complicated. It’s not rocket science, but it can get pretty tricky. The topic we are going to discus a bit is jungling, and hand in hand goes ganking. In the next guide we will talk about counter jungling which is much more complicated than just simple jungling. Firstly, let’s explain what jungling and ganking is. Jungling is the act of staying out of lanes. You may ask yourself, well how do you farm, how do you level. There are jungle camps with monsters that help you do this. Kill them, and you’re basically doing the same as farming....
  2. Heroes of Order & Chaos – The importance of farming

We’ve talked about this in the past, but we probably need to talk about it again for all those new players that may have missed our posts about this. We can’t stress enough how important proper farming in this game is. If you are new to Heroes of Order & Chaos, and you probably are since you’re reading this, farming is the act of killing minions, or creeps as they are often called. Good farming is the boundary between defeat and victory. Not always, but mostly. It is an individual stat, which gives you gold and experience. Fail to farm, and you’ll end up weaker by a ton. Outfarming the opponent in your lane gives you an advantage that can only be compared to being really fed. Fed meaning that you have a lot of kills, and very little or no deaths. The proper way to farm is to last...
  3. Heroes of Order & Chaos – Proper focusing

You need to face this fact. Heroes of Order & Chaos is a team game. You can’t win it alone. You may be the deciding factor that your team takes the W instead of the L, but you can’t do it all alone. And most of the time, you can’t really win if everybody does anything they want. You need to have a team strategy. Games like Heroes of Order & Chaos rely on roles which players must fill to win games. If you don’t do it, the other team will and they will win. Somebody is the Carry, somebody is the Tank, somebody is the support. You need to have your team stick to the plan in team fights. And in order to win those team fights, you need to use the right focus. A lot of players get this wrong. And it can be extremely frustrating and annoying...
  4. Heroes of Order & Chaos – Game phase transition

Knowing when to transition from the early phase, laning phase as it is usually called, to the late game, lane pushing phase can be a factor that decides between victory and loss. Firstly, you start in the laning phase. Your main objective is clear. You need to farm as much as you can, to gain advantage over your opponent. In this time, do not risk anything. You are the same strength as your match up, so farm and out farm them to be stronger. When you are a higher level, go a bit more risky and try to kill them. If you do that, you are doing great. As they are dead and not in the lane anymore, farm to gain an even greater advantage. Repeat the process until you are very strong, much stronger than your opponent. There’s one thing though that you need to look out for here....
  5. Heroes of Order & Chaos – which hero to buy

If you are looking to buy a hero in Heroes of Order & Chaos, and you can’t really decide which one to buy, maybe this will hep you make up your mind. Some of the best mages in the game are the Gambler and Acridix. But they are two very different heroes. If you are looking to buy a mage, these two are a good choice, but choosing between them is very important. In the case of the Gambler, he has a very strong early game. In the beginning, you are beast, but he tends to fall off late game. He is pretty easy to learn how to play, and he is pretty suitable for competitive games. Acridix on the other hand is a different story completely. He is not so powerful early game, but is a destroyer late game. Not easy to master like the Gambler, and he is...

Many things separate a great player from a not so great player. Those things can often be in the small details, but this is not exactly a small detail. Being able to push lanes can help you dominate in Heroes of Order & Chaos. If you don’t know anything about it, we’re going to give you a small insight about pushing lanes. Pushing lanes is the act of destroying your opponents towers in a lane, giving you more map control and freedom, and getting one step closer to victory. Successfully pushing a lane is not very complicated, but it can get pretty difficult from time to time. There are some thing you should know about it. Firstly, not all heroes are lane pushers. Mages are usually not such. AD Carries and Fighters can be very good at. Fighters not so much because they don’t just rely on damage, but they...

In the past period we have discussed a topic that could be helpful to new players of Heroes of Order & Chaos, roles in the game. We talked about the ADC, the Mage, the Tank, Fighter and Support. This is a chapter in the series of newbie guides we are going to write to help new players find their way in the game of Heroes of Order & Chaos, as well as in similar games that play like Heroes of Order & Chaos. Next in this series, we are going to talk about Fighters vs. Ranged heroes. It can be very troublesome for new players who like playing fighters when they are pitted against ranged heroes. If you’ve been through this, you must know how frustrating it can be when you are trying to close onto a ranged hero with him poking you and running away. There is one, most...

This will be the last part of the Role guides for Heroes of Order & Chaos. It surely won’t be the last guide, but we are finished with explaining roles. We talked about the ADC, the Mage, the Tank and the Support. Only one to go, and today’s the day it’ll be talked about. Let’s begin our guide about the Fighter in Heroes of Order & Chaos. The Fighter is a pretty straight forward role to play, but it comes with it’s own problems. The biggest confusion that people face when playing fighter is that they are a two build class, meaning that they can be built, itemized, in two ways. You can either go tanky or assassin. The tanky fighter is often the initiator, we talked about what that is in the Tank guide, while the assassin fighter is the damage dealer who stays back and strikes when he...

If you are following this site, you have probably seen the few guides we published in the recent period for roles in Heroes of Order & Chaos. Until now, we’ve talked about the ADC, the Mage and the Tank. We explained in detail what they are and how they should be played. Today, we are going to talk about the least used, most hated and neglected, and possibly most difficult role to play, the Support. The Support, as you can probably tell by the name, is a role that is in the game to support other players. The main characteristic of a Support is selflessness. Meaning? Well, you have to put the benefit of your teammates before your own benefit. Even if that means your hero dies, while something good happens to your teammate. This is exactly the reason why people hate playing them. Not everybody is willing to do...
