Order & Chaos Online

Guides, Tips & Tricks, News, Walkthroughs, Hints
for the best iOS MMO by Gameloft

  1. DDoS attacks caused Order and Chaos Online outages

    Posted by admin
    / May 20, 2013 / 3 Comments
After weeks of wondering about why the Order and Chaos Online servers were so slow/not available at all we finally have an answer. It turns out that the outages are coming from a series of denial of service attacks (DDoS) directed towards Gamelofts servers. No player data has been lost, but it certainly helps us understand why things were so sketchy over the last month. The quote about the issue from Sarah on the Gameloft forums is below. “Over the last three weeks, Order & Chaos Online servers have been under numerous DDoS attacks. These attacks have impaired Gameloft Online services and features linked to Order & Chaos Online, and generated high instability in the game. Our sincerest gratitude is with you for raising this issue many times, on our forums and different social networks. You reported being unable to access the Order & Chaos login servers, connecting to the...

  2. Blizzard releases Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft card game much like the new Order & Chaos Duels

    Posted by admin
    / March 23, 2013 / 4 Comments
Just days after the release of Order & Chaos Duels,  Gamelofts trading card battle game blizzard announced their own card combat game – Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft at the PAX East (Penny Arcade Expo). It looks like for once Gameloft released a product first and Blizzard looks like the one copying Gameloft, which is a lovely change of pace. More details are coming later, but you can see the launch site and the launch trailer is below. Now its time to see which card battle game ends up taking the hearts and minds of what is likely a very similar audience…more to come.

  3. New Mendels Race – What do you think?

So now that everyone has had a chance to play with the Order & Chaos 2.0 update for a couple of weeks what do you all think of the mendels? The mendels, for those who have yet to get the update (sorry Android users…it sucks) are the new race introduced in 2.0 that are sort of a cross between the night elves in World or Warcraft and the ewoks for the Return of the Jedi. Like the night elves and the ewoks, the mendels live in the trees, which is the new starting area for players to level in. I’ve been playing with  one for about a week or so and I am pretty impressed. The animations seem smoother and better thought out than the other races, which shows gameloft is finding their stride with the engine. What do you all think? Have you seen any high level mendels running...

Happy New Years fellow Order and Chaos Online players. From the success of the sale on the app store (iOS saw it in the top 30 apps in the USA many times over the holidays) there are a LOT more players running around in Haradon. To celebrate this and the new year gameloft has a promo going on this weekend (January 29-31) for 50% off all runes and gold packs. So if you were planning to buy some of the new toys available in the new update you can do so for half off. I just wish they had combined it with a double XP weekend.

  5. Order & Chaos Online Version 2.0 out now for iOS – New Race, Zone, and Dungeon, + Voice Chat!

The latest update to O&C has just been released for iOS just in time for the holiday and during the game loft $ .99 holiday sale. This is a smart play for game loft as Order and Chaos is currently the number 1 roleplaying app on the app store and in the top 50 paid apps overall. We are just getting a chance to download the game, but the addition of the new race and starting zone easily makes this the biggest update ever. Check out the changes below and let us know your initial thoughts. More updates to come soon!   What’s New in Version 2.0.0 You’ve battled each other for months. But have you noticed the moving shadows high up in the trees? In the wake of the anniversary update, support for 3G connections, and the addition of PvP arenas and mounts, something really big is coming to...

  6. Heroes of Order & Chaos Reviews Positive

    Posted by admin
    / November 26, 2012 / 16 Comments
The reviews thus far for Heroes of Order & Chaos have been extremely positive. Overall people seem to love the gameplay and don’t find the pay portions to be too overbearing. Controls are tight and the game doesn’t feel like its been dumbed-down to work on a mobile platform. Lastly the vast amount of content is impressing reviewers across the board. This is easily the best reviewed gameloft game I have ever seen, which hopefully means people will really get behind this game so we can see many updates in the future. A couple of reviews are linked below. Slide to Play Game trailers Review Modojo Review

  10. Mount Prices the top issue for players in new update.

    Posted by admin
    / August 24, 2012 / 143 Comments
The new update is only a day old, but players are finding some of the pricing changes to be very frustrating. The biggest complaint seems to be the 2000g or 99 runes mount pricing, which is extremely high according to most people. It would seem that losing the subscription fee is making Gameloft increase the price for desirable perks to make up for the lost revenue. This is an issue for many PC MMO’s that go free to play. Often it takes a little time for a company to find the grinding required to amount paid in real money ratio correct. At first blush this 2000g – $15 US in runes seems a bit extreme.  What do you think fair pricing should be? Let us know in the comments.
